Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has vowed to continue working with the national government even after being kicked out of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Speaking to the press from his office on Thursday, a defiant Maangi maintained his earlier stand of working with Jubilee administration.
He termed his sacking from ODM undemocratic and one which defeats the spirit of the Constitution, saying the move will not cow him from delivering services to the people.
“Being sacked from the party will not stop me from delivering my services to the people of this nation. It is a noble calling which I have to meet.
No one should cheat you that they have an option of not working with the government of the day,” he said.
“It is a policy framework enshrined in the Constitution which calls for cooperation and collaboration between the two arms of government,” he added.
However, he reiterated that he has no problem working with Governor James Ongwae as the two have complemented each other in their line of duty.--KNA
