Nominated MP Patrick Wangamati has disclosed that Ford Kenya party is ready to part ways with other Cord affiliates if Moses Wetang’ula will not be given the coalition ticket for the top seat.

Speaking yesterday at St Theresa’s Sikhendu Secondary School in Kiminini, Wangamati said the Bungoma senator has a supporter base of four million voters and he has proved the favourite among the three Cord co-principals.

The legislator said the Luyha nation is ready to “advise their leader otherwise”, if the ongoing trend by ODM party leader Raila Odinga of discrediting other Cord partners persist.

Wangamati, however, appealed for party unity, saying the disputes in the party pass the wrong message about it, especially the wrangles that have been witnessed between groups supporting Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa and Trans Nzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba.
