Former powerful Cabinet minister Nicholas Biwott has dismissed stories doing rounds on social media claiming that he had died, saying he is alive and well.
This is not the first time that rumours about Biwott’s death appear on social media. In January 2014, there were similar stories claiming he had died.
Biwott, who is also the National Vision Party leader, cautioned users of social media against abusing the forums.
“I am fine and in good health. Those peddling lies that I have died are agents of the devil who should be condemned in the strongest terms possible,” said Biwott who was accompanied by his long-time personal assistant William Chepkut.
Speaking in Eldoret, the former close ally of the then President Daniel arap Moi termed as outrageous, false and malicious posts that appeared in various social sites including a television station’s social media site. The posts were circulated on sites such as whatsApp, Facebook among others.
