As the general elections draw near, women from the Maasai community in Kajiado county are in a state of despair not certain whether they will participate in the exercise.
Reason been their husbands have made it hard for them to register as voters as they demand to keep their identity cards.
With efforts by the county government to educate the affected women on their constitutional and primary rights are ongoing the women are now hopeful that they will actively engage their husbands to allow them make their independent decision in the coming elections.
