3 terror suspects, including a KWS officer, were arrested in Mombasa with 54 AK-47 rifle bullets recovered from the suspects rooms within Mombasa town. The suspects were arrested after police got a tip off from an Mpesa operator who became suspicious after the three tried to register for an Mpesa account with stolen ID cards. The three suspects were in possession of six national id cards and are suspected to have connections with members of the Al Shabaab militants in Somalia and elsewhere two of those injured during Manderas KDF shootings were airlifted to Nairobi for advanced treatments. The two who were accompanied by family members and local leaders are now demanding compensation from the KDF.
