The country's health sector is once again in the spotlight after a middle aged expectant woman died at the Kakamega level five hospital after nurses at the hospital allegedly refused to attend to her. The woman, who was 34 weeks pregnant had been rushed to the hospital for an emergency operation after a scan discovered she had experienced a still birth. The ministry of health has launched investigations into the incident which happened barely a month after a man died in Nairobi after being forced to wait in an ambulance for 48 hours awaiting admission at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
