Cord leader Raila Odinga yesterday claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta deliberately left out names of Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Issack Hassan in the corruption list he tabled in Parliament in March.

Addressing a press conference at his Capitol Hill Square office, he accused Uhuru of protecting the two, who he maintained their names should have been part of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) report.

The EACC list, Raila noted, has names of suspects in all the cases, except two, where there was no direct mention of names in what the Cord leader believe is a deliberate cover-up of Waiguru and Hassan.

Raila has criticised the Jubilee administration’s commitment to fight corruption and has specifically demanded the resignation of Waiguru and Hassan over the NYS and ‘Chicken Gate’ scandals respectively.

According to sources, Raila will again next week release another corruption dossier on Deputy President William Ruto, days to US President Barack Obama’s visit scheduled for Friday.

Raila accused Uhuru of playing the game of favourism in the war against corruption as he showed journalists voluminous documentary evidences and names of those implicated save for Case Nos. 15 and 20 whose names of suspects were omitted.
