Kericho Senator Charles Keter has dared Cord MPs to make good their threat to move an impeachment motion against President Uhuru Kenyatta, saying no Jubilee legislator would support such a bid.
Speaking during a funds drive in aid of Kitale School on Saturday, Keter said Jubilee leaders are united, and that they would hear none of Cord’s “selfish proposal”.
Some Cord lawmakers had last week threatened to file an ouster motion against the President over the ongoing teachers pay row. But Keter said Jubilee has the numbers in both Houses to shoot down such a motion.
“We are the majority in both Houses but we don’t talk much about it. We are not cowards, our support for President Kenyatta is firm,” he said.
