IEBC selection panel has unanimously picked Benadette Musundi to chair and spearhead the process of recruiting new commissioners to the electoral body.
Speaking during the first meeting since they were sworn into office, the panel exuded confidence that they will hit the tight deadline of putting up a new commission, as the next general election is fast approaching..
The panel is further expected to announce their working timelines later Friday, with their first mandate being to advertise for the positions of commissioners and the chairman to the electoral body.
Once selected and approved, the new commission will assume office, replacing the current commissioners who have since resigned, but still in office until the handover to the new commission.
