Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko has directed Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet to launch investigations against Narobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko following remarks he made alluding that he was the acting President of Kenya. During the burial of former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti's husband Henry Oduwole, Sonko sensationally claimed that he was the the third in command yet Deputy President William Ruto was in the country attending a rally in Baringo county. The embattled senator who is eyeing the Nairobi gubernatorial race seat has however insisted that he was misinterpreted and he was simply representing the president at the funeral.
