Laikipia Governor Joshua Irungu was yesterday cleared by the Senate Public Accounts and Investments Committee and officials from the office of Attorney General over how his administration spent Sh50 million on domestic and foreign travels.
He told the Anyang Nyong’o led-team that the Executive made foreign trips to Namibia and Zambia to acquire information on animal husbandry in arid and semi-arid areas as well as learning about different animal breeds.
“The trip helped us in finding out the price of milk coolers that were to be purchased by the county government. These were the last foreign trips our Executive made. The rest were done locally,” said Irungu.
