The mass roll out of the 1.2 million laptops for schools project kicked off in West Pokot and Bomet counties, with ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru and his devolution counterpart Mwangi Kiunjuri launching the distribution of the gadgets.
The project which targets to supply all public primary schools by December 2016 other Cabinet and Principal Secretaries have each been assigned a primary school within the counties, with water CS Eugene Wamalwa and his foreign affairs counterpart Amina Mohammed expected to conclude the launch of the exercise on October 28.
