Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders yesterday told its partner Ford-K not to expect favours in the scramble for the Western region vote.

Party leader Raila Odinga asked supporters to vote only for ODM candidates in the General Election, adding that the outfit will battle with its partners in the coalition; Ford-K and Wiper Democratic Movement for votes in areas considered to be their strongholds across the country.

He said tribalism had no place and that some of the Luhya leaders should be shunted as their bid for the presidency was neither serious nor tenable but tribal-driven.

Raila down played divisions in Cord, arguing, “When you see Ford-K, WDPM and ODM each declaring their presidential bid, don’t misconstrue this to be a split. It is called sibling rivalry, which is normal for twins to fight for their mother’s attention and milk.”

Earlier Raila asked Jubilee administration to explain the whereabouts of the Sh215 billion from the proceeds of Eurobond which the Auditor General says cannot be accounted for.

Speaking in Kakamega when he met 1,000 party delegates drawn from the county, Raila wondered why the government had been silent on the matter for months until the report by the Auditor General yesterday revealed the money was missing.
