The ruling Jubilee Alliance has moved quickly to quell the storm caused by the entry of water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat with Deputy President William Ruto declaring that the party has no preferred candidates for various elective seats.
Speaking after opening CDF offices in Gilgil town, Ruto allayed fears that he and President Kenyatta had preferred candidates and declared that all prospective candidates will be subjected to the nomination process.
Ruto's remarks came in the wake of a war of words between Jubilee leaders over Wamalwa's proposed bid for the Nairobi governor's seat.
