Led by the area chief, the angry residents raided the girls home in Kitengela area of Kajiado county.
They condemned the parents saying it’s very unfair for them to continue harassing their child, denying her of her right to education.
The girl is alleged to be battered frequently by her parents and denied food.
According to the neighbours, the mother works as a Miraa vendor and the father as a carpenter within Kitengela town.
The parents have since been arrested and the six year old child left under the custody of Kitengela children’s office.
