The Orange democratic party - ODM has backtracked on its earlier threat to boycott the voter registration exercise and has now called on its supporters to turn out in large numbers and register when the first phase of the mass registration exercise kicks-off on Monday next week.
ODM deputy party leader, Ali Hassan Joho said though the party had not succeeded in pushing the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to conduct the exercise at the polling stations, it will now focus on ensuring all eligible voters in their strongholds are registered.
Joho spoke as IEBC chairman Ahmed Isaack Hassan who met the council of governors expressed confidence of reaching its target of 4million voters despite a shortage of funds.
