Kiambu governor William Kabogo, Mandera senator Billow Kerrow and businessman Ben Gethi are men under siege after the National Cohesion and Integration Commission, NCIC, the directorate of criminal investigations, DCI and the Kenya Revenue Authority, KRA, recommended their prosecution. Kabogo and Kerrow now face charges of ethnic contempt and incitement to violence and disobedience of the law respectively. In a statement the director of public prosecutions Keriako Tobiko also stated that the Kenya Revenue Authority had recommended the prosecution of Ben Gethi and Josephine Kabura Irungu in relation to controversial payments made by the National Youth Service amounting to about 800 million shillings.
